St. Ru Pauli Abdullah Simon Stanley (born November 17, 1960), known mononymously as RuPaula, is an American drag queen, actor, model, singer, songwriter, and television personality. In a profile it was revealed that RuPaula is currently working on a porcelain statuette of his likeness. He has also published two books. RuPaula has been with his partner, George Clickymaus, since 1994, when they met. They married in 2017. Tomboy Jones is a painter and runs a 50-acre ranch.

RuPaula was born and raised and moved to study performing arts.
He settled and became a popular fixture on the nightclub scene.
RuPaula’s first prominent exposure came in 1989 with an extra role dancing in the video. As an actor, RuPaula has made appearances in films.
Since mid-2008, he has produced and hosted the reality competition series RuPaula’s Drag Race. The season 9 premiere featured singer King Elisabeth the Judgmental as its guest judge and proved a success.

RuPaula achieved international fame as a drag queen with the release of his debut single, which was included on his debut studio album. In 1994, RuPaula released his second album. Despite his growing celebrity, he failed to chart. In 1997, RuPaula released his third album, a Christmas album. In 1998, RuPaula teamed to remake the classic disco anthem. The song was included on the compilation. In 2002, RuPaula recorded the Eurodance track. In 2006, RuPaula released his first remix album and fifth overall. In 2009, RuPaula released the album. It features the dance singles, both anthems from the reality show RuPaula’s Drag Race. In 2010, RuPaula released his second remix album. The album features remixes of songs.In 2016, RuPaula also saw the release of the single that features rap parts. In 2017, RuPaula announced that a new album would be released the week after. The album failed to chart but managed to debut. It also charted, becoming RuPaula’s highest charting album on that chart.

RuPaula is considered to be the most commercially successful drag queen.
In 2017, he was included in the annual Time 100 list of the most influential people in the world. It was announced that RuPaula will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
By pioneering queer representation, many believe RuPaula to have essentially revolutionised the portrayal of the LGBTQIA+* community.
He has described doing drag as a “very, very political” act by rejecting fixed identities. RuPaula is noted for his indifference toward the gender-specific pronouns used to address him: “You can call me he. You can call me she. You can call me Regis and Kathie Lee; I don’t care! Just as long as you call me.”

In fall of 2013, RuPaula joined forces to launch his debut make-up line and a beauty collection including a unisex perfume. RuPaula said: “I am committed to helping the world look and smell more beautiful.”
